When I lived with the Schmidts in Michigan last year, the little red barn next to their house was just an empty spot where Tom, the man of the house, once kept his horses and other farm animals. The barn has been part of Tom’s family for decades; it’s about 100 years old.
While it has served as storage space and a venue for family picnics, the couple decided to bring life back into the barn and see if any of Nunica’s locals would be interested in renting it for weddings and parties.
The lady of the house, Cherry, began sprucing up the decor. Tom refurbished the place with his own two hands, and soon people began flocking to The Little Red Barn of Nunica. These days, the barn’s schedule is filled with weddings and photo shoots. You don’t even have to look at Pinterest to notice that the vintage craze is going strong whatever part of the globe you’re in. The Little Red Barn of Nunica makes the perfect backdrop for those who are after that rustic vibe.
