10 Poetic Words From Around The World

The past year, my fellow travel writers at Matador Network have been posting their lists of favorite words from around the world—from untranslatable terms to non-English words that describe love.

I spent the last few months picking my own favorite poetic words—those that roll out of my tongue beautifully, and with meanings that resonate with deep-rooted emotions. Here, my top 10.

Wow so this explains the photos on your IG na na may mga words and definition. You had me at Saudade and Ephemeral! And obviously, I’m only familiar with Paraluman. hehe. I’m not the poetic type eh so this is new to me 🙂

But what I love about these poetic word posts are the photos that you incorporate with them. Grabe ang feels! Lalo yung Desiderata 🙂

Thanks for this madam Kate! 🙂

  4. So much wanderlust words. 🙂 Learned a lot from this! Kintsukuroi feels like love after being heartbroken. You learned from the previous relationship and become a better person. Haha. Actually it also sounds like getting up from failure. 🙂 Ephemeral sounds so sad to me though. Gluggaveour is my favorite! I always want that in places where we stay for a vacation

  5. I’m learning a lot from your blog.. From travel trips to kikay tips to these poetic words ? Really love the photos ❤ Looking forward for more, especially with your Holiday adventures! Merry Christmas! ?
