Quirk of the Month: 3 Notebooks For The Organized Traveler
Belle De Jour’s most popular product is the BDJ Power Planner, but I’m more into their travel collection. With only a month left in 2016 (Where did time go?) I’m gearing up for 2017 with three main items from their shop.
1. 2017 Navi: Your Life Navigator, ₱598
I’ve been using this planner for two years now, and I’m looking forward to the 2017 edition, which I featured in “Planners For Travelers.” Some of the highlights are: hardbound cover with a world map etched on the design, travel tips, travel checklists, weekly horizontal page on the left (a must-have for me), blank note page on the right, and suggested travel destinations every month. In true BDJ style, there’s also a free booklet of shopping and discount coupons worth ₱25,000!
2. Quest Journal, ₱680
Feeling like an artsy, mysterious poet who’s always doodling and jotting down notes while on a train to his/her next destination? Then you’ll love this journal. It has a leather cover and two notebooks—one with dotted pages and the other with ruled pages. There’s a vinyl zippered pouch where you can store your passport and other travel keepsakes, and vinyl pockets for your credit cards, bus passes, and photos. Refill notebooks are available for ₱100 each. You may choose from four leather covers—taupe, blush, bronze, and teal.
3. BDJ Daybook: Travel/ I Go Places, ₱280
This pocket notebook makes a practical Christmas gift for travelers. Even if I’ve been traveling and organizing tours for loved ones for years, I still panic during the last few days before a trip. I’m always worried I’d forget to bring something important. This journal has checklists, expense trackers, itinerary guides, travel logs, and travel tips that will keep me organized and less of a worrywart.
The 2017 Navi, Quest Journal, and BDJ Daybook are available at National Bookstore, Fully Booked, Page One, and online at ilovebdj.com.
