Maybe it’s the live-action remake of Beauty And The Beast coming this March, or the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales coming in May. Whatever is causing the surge of Disney makeup, it’s a welcome diversion for us grownups. They always sell like Mickey-shaped pancakes, so you better get your hands on these four Disney makeup collabs that are still available.
1. The Face Shop x Disney
Last year, Disney teamed up with Korean beauty brand The Face Shop to come up with limited edition CC cushions, blushers, mascaras, eyeshadows, tinted lip balms, nail polishes, and lip glosses in classic Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and Monsters Inc. designs. This 2017, they added more characters, such as Donald Duck multi-palette and Daisy Duck cushion primer. There’s even a new Disney Princess nail polish, facial mask, and lipstick collection. Note: If you can’t find these items in your favorite TFS stores, buy online or ask a friend traveling to Korea to get them for you.
Filipino brand Happy Skin’s Disney Princess lippies were such a hit last year that they decided to add new items to the collection—luminous mesh blush and brightening powder. If your inner Disney princess is Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Elsa, Anna, Aurora, Rapunzel, or Snow White, you’ll find something to your liking. It’s too bad the less popular Disney gals such as Merida, Mulan, and Pocahontas are not represented.
To celebrate the release of Beauty And The Beast this March, L’Oréal released a collection of lippies and nail polishes inspired by the characters of the movie. Each shade is named after a Beauty and The Beast character, including Mrs. Potts and Lumiere. For now it’s available only in Amazon Italy. We at CosmoPH are still waiting for a reply from the L’Oréal Philippines team. Keeping our fingers crossed for a Philippine release!
I hate to burst your bubble, but the Disney Minnie Beauty by Sephora Collection sold out faster than you can say 2016. While we wait for them to come out with a new Disney offering, might I interest you in Sephora’s limited edition compact mirrors? Unfortunately, most princesses are sold out except for Snow White and the Frozen sisters.
