Quirk of the Month: Oreo Stars

I discovered this new variety of Oreo cookies when I was shopping for groceries in Tagaytay last weekend. Instead of a sandwich, a single Oreo cookie has a star-shaped center (eight-edged star, to be exact) and is filled with the creamy white stuff that we all love.

There are three cookies in one pack and each pack costs ₱4.50 (about 10 US cents). Talk about a cheap thrill! Since Oreo is distributed in the Philippines by Kraft Foods Asia, I doubt you’ll find Oreo Stars in grocery stores outside of Asia.

Now if only they would come up with a “white stuff only” variant. I don’t care if it’s made of pure fat as the rumors have it.
