Quirk of the Month: 1001 Awesome Stickers

I feel like a 7-year-old again. I won this book of stickers at a recent Christmas party and I was the happiest kid in the room.

1001 Awesome Stickers is one of Summit Media’s newest products. It has 16 pages of stickers—each designed by Filipino artists such as Nicole Lim of Rinian art, Alessandra Lanot of Life After Breakfast, and Bru Sim of Electrolychee. There’s also a glossy paper doll page where you may dress up the doll illustrations using Nicole Lim’s clothing and accessories stickers, and a glossy dessert page that you may decorate using Pergylene Acuña’s dessert and garden themed stickers.

Each artist used his/her own medium and distinct style in creating the designs—from Alessandra Lanot’s signature watercolor letterings to Fran Alvarez’s digitally illustrated stamp collection.

The sticker book costs P195 each and is available in all leading bookstores and magazine stands nationwide. There’s also a boy version for the same price. If you’re looking for a last-minute Christmas present for a kid or kid-at-heart, this would be, as they say, awesome.
