Whenever MAC Cosmetics releases a new collection or collaboration with a pop culture icon, it arrives in Philippine shores a few weeks later than the US release, and in limited stocks.
Just to be sure I’d get my hands on them, I asked my New York friends (Hi, Ron and RJ!) to purchase items from MAC’s Good Luck Trolls collection as soon as it hit US stores early this August. Ron hand-delivered the package to me when he arrived in Manila for a vacation last week. Thanks, Ron!
If you were a ’90s kid like I was, you’ll remember the Russ Trolls that our parents thought were the ugliest creatures in the world, but we couldn’t help but collect them! We were told that stroking their hair brought good luck, and so we brushed away and gave them TLC. I remember buying my Trolls clothes and accessories from Gift Gate in Glorietta, Makati, when I was a kid.
I have a stash of toys from the ’80s and ’90s in my upper closet, which I haven’t touched in ages. I’m hoping my Russ Trolls are among them. In the meantime, check out my #FOTD using my makeup from the MAC x Good Luck Trolls collection.
