I like choosing nail art designs the way I choose my ice cream: the more options, the better. Even if I end up with my usual chocolate scoop with nuts and syrup, I feel fulfilled after confusingly going through dozens of permutations before making a final decision.
Powder Room Beauty Lounge in Aguirre Street, Parañaque gave me just what I needed—a whopping 1,500 options for my nails, which include regular lacquer, gel nail polish, nail art, sticker art, 3D nails, and acrylic designs. There are shelves upon shelves of different nail polish brands. There are boxes of swatch samples and stickers. One minute I wanted donuts and ice cream on my nails; the next minute I considered going home with giant gemstones on acrylic nails. Was I willing to not budge my digits for a week all for the sake of vanity?
Nah! In the end, the pandas won me over (more on that in my next blog post). Before being treated to a full luxury pampering service, salon owner Andreya and her staff gave me a tour of the place.
After moving to Powder Room Beauty Lounge’s new location late last year, Andreya designed the interiors on her own, and it’s a mix of different Instagrammable spots—the hairstyling room with brick walls (every blogger’s favorite backdrop), the reception area where you can see about one-third of the 1,500 polish options, a hall with a floral garden wall, the mani-pedi room with floating shelves of lacquer and quirky décor, plus other sections that will make you want to stop and take a selfie.
Mani-pedis aren’t the only services on their menu. They also offer waxing, threading, eyelash extensions, makeup, hairstyling, and spa treatments. They even have party packages for those looking to celebrate their bachelorette, birthday, or any other pampering celebrations. Check out their list of services and prices here.
