Old Maid, the game!

Quirk of the Month: Old Maid Travel Card Game

When going on long flights and road trips, boredom can strike any time. For millennials and Gen Z, there are gadgets, phone apps, and lately, fidget cubes to combat long hours of waiting. But whatever happened to the analog ways of killing time? In my childhood (I’m a milleXial), we turned to board games, card games, coloring books, and books.

As soon as I spotted these pocket-sized card games in Tickles, I just had to purchase one. They’re perfect for family reunions, traveling groups, and drinking sessions.

Pocket-sized travel card games, ₱80 each, Tickles
Old Maid, the game!

Each deck is 1.5 x 2.5” in size, and there are three games to choose from—Go Fish, Hearts, and Old Maid. I chose the latter. It reminded me of the time I got so tired of chismoso people pestering me about being unmarried that I wrote an article about them. Read the article here and tell me if you can relate.

The price is ₱80 per deck, and it comes with game instructions. It’s perfect for traveling groups who don’t want to drain their phone batteries.

What keeps you entertained during road trips and long flights, dear readers?
