Most Instagrammable Restos In Bali

There are dozens of restaurants and cafés around Bali, from hidden locations to more popular tourist joints. If you’re a millennial (or xennial like me) doing it for the ‘gram, here are 20 guaranteed to bring on the likes. Their drinks and grub aren’t bad, either.

1. Motel Mexicola, Seminyak
At night, it’s one of the loudest bars in Seminyak (The conga line thrives here!). In the daytime, it’s a hip and colorful spot that’s begging to be Instagrammed.

2. La Plancha, Denpasar
Nothings says Bali than rainbow-colored bean bags, flashy umbrellas, and hand-painted walls. The design of this resto-bar by the beach is often replicated, but nothing beats the original.

3. La Laguna, Canggu
My favorite spot in Bali, this sprawling property pays homage to the owner’s Spanish gypsy heritage.

4. Old Man’s Bar, Canggu
Surfers flock to this outdoor bar for food, drinks, and music by the beach.

5. Sea Circus, Seminyak
It’s not an actual circus, but a resto-bar-café where every corner is an Instagram opportunity. Your food will get cold because you’ll be taking oodles of photos before touching it.

7. Bikini Restaurant, Seminyak
When you’re here, you’ll end up as one of those girls taking dozens of selfies in the bathroom.

8. The Bistrot, Seminyak
This café-lounge is inspired by New York’s industrial spaces. You’ll also find lots of vintage gadgets and furniture on display.

14. Revolver Espresso, Seminyak
This Aussie-run place is a quaint café in the daytime, and a happening bar at night. Trivia: I, Kate of KateWasHere.com, placed the first Philippine peso bill in their coffee table display! Please look for it when you go there.

15. Angelita Patisserie, Kuta
Relive the tea parties of your childhood in this French patisserie and bakery.

16. Kebun Bistro, Ubud
This downtown Ubud resto offers French and Mediterranean dishes in a Provencal-style setting.

If you’re tired of the artsy, cluttered designs of most cafés, go for the more minimalist Living Stone Bakery.
